PHP menus

I want to add PHP menus to the site and I think this site will give me an idea on how to incorporate them into the site. I know that the menu bar above does not look quite right and I will take care of that in the next day or so. Unordered lists can be a pain sometimes to code out but I’m trying to do away with extraneous CSS rules and hacks that aren’t necessary.

Picking up PHP conditional statements…

Ok so I know it’s a bit late but I just finished PHP lesson 2 which
covers conditional statements, and logical operators as well as “if – else”.
So far this is thee best website about learning PHP that I have seen so far mainly because the information presented is easy to read and understand.
You can see the results of what I learned here. Just enter something in one of the fields and your results will be processed by the PHP code as soon as you hit submit. There’s a bunch of jabberwocky on the feedback page but I did leave a treat for you guys to see.

Bring me lesson 3!

Making a difference…

As you can tell I have modified this blog quite a bit. I ditched the default background and added the one from The Site to unify things a bit. Then I threw in the main menu and configured it’s links and dropdown menu to work like they’re supposed to. I’m going to change the colors and sizes of the text and headings in this session. Add a few widgets to the side bar, and then figure out how to add a sidebar to the left side of the main column. Anyhow it’s about time I jazzed things up around here. One more thing that is bugging me is the the images won’t load in the Flickr widget that I got running over on the right. It loads images via an rss feed from the flickr site and I don’t know if it’s a permissions problem, or a software problem or what. Anyhow I’ll be going through the Wordpress forums looking for an explanation and a solution.

For the most part this blog is not finished and I’m planning on using it as a testbed to test out my theories on becoming a Master of The Universe
ok so maybe not but it would be a great way for me to learn more about Wordpress and all it’s idiosynchrasies.
in the meantime you should check out the worpress blog I created on The Loins Mouth.com

pretty kewl heh?

Another skillset I just picked up…

I successfully uploaded Wordpress and then installed, configured, tested, added widgets & rss feeds to The Loins Mouth.com.

So if anybody out there wants to install Wordpress on their site but has no clue how to do it…

I’m yur’ man.

yeah I know I got some work to do here…
